Supervision - Your Safe Space
My premise for supervision is to work alongside you and facilitate the creation of a space where you are safe enough to stop and develop a reflective practise towards your client work. Processing your thoughts and feelings to serve the best interests of the client is always the focus of our work, I would add that investing in the process of a secure supervision arrangement is also an act of self care for you, the therapist, and this is essential if you are to remain resilient and of use to others.
I work with Hawkins and Shohets Seven Eyed Model which holistically incorporates these ideas and serves as a framework to aid us in exploring and developing ideas around the following presentations:
- the client
- the supervisees interventions
- the relationship between the supervisee and client
- the supervisees responses
- the relationship between supervisee and supervisor
- the supervisors use of self in the process
- the wider system in which the work is taking place
My supervisory work is integrative and creatively draws on person centred, IFS, attachment, psychodynamic, transactional analysis and somatic processing theories. I am trauma informed having trained with a Rape Crisis Centre.
I work with supervisees in private practice, those transitioning into private practice and students on placement. I also hold sessions for people outside of the therapy world but within stressful work environments where the supervision offer can be tailored to meet your needs.
I am available for one to one and group work, either face to face from my office in Steyning which is a short walk from the town centre or remotely via zoom. Please contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss your needs and availability.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision for Individuals and Groups and a Post Grad Diploma in Integrative Therapy and Counselling.
